One-Day Beginner Weaving Class

Weave a Spa Washcloth(s) in your color choices.

In one day, learn to weave a spa washcloth, and then the weaving possibilities are endless!

Small class sizes include lots of personal attention. The class includes extensive handouts, and the loom is included (no loom rental fees). Or, you can use your own fully functional rigid heddle loom (loom approval required).

There’s also a Rent-to-Buy Option.

You can rent the class loom for 3 weeks. If you purchase a new loom within the rental period, the rental cost is refunded.

What you’ll learn

❋What’s a Rigid Heddle loom and how to weave a plaid washcloth(s) .

❋ How plan your pattern and set up (warp) the loom and how to change warp colors.

❋ How to weave the crosswise (weft) threads and how to change the weft colors.

❋ How to secure your cloth with hemstitching to ensure it lasts even in the washing machine and dryer.

❋ How to finish and start a new washcloth.

Continue learning with my Beyond the Basics classes to take your weaving to the next level

Classes range from beginner to advanced and are held on a rotating basis with new classes constantly coming on board.

Requirements:

​❋ NOTES:

  • Classes are for ages 15 or older.

  • Classes are not for 4-8 shaft table or floor loom.

  • Some walking is required to set up the loom.

  • Please re-schedule if you have Covid or Flu symptoms.

  • Please refrain from wearing ANY perfumes/colognes or scented products.

❋ No experience needed and class looms are included for free.

❋ You can also bring your own working rigid heddle loom with a 7.5 or 8 dent heddle. Requires loom approval to ensure it's appropriate for this class and project. 

❋ Required supplies: #4 Cotton yarn, pen and small scissors. Choose 3 colors that work for plaids.
